Watts RV PRO-1000 Portable Water SoftenerLet’s face it, the quality of the water that people drink and use to clean all kinds of different things can vary greatly from one geographical area in the U.S. and abroad. In some cities, the quality of the water supplied by the municipal system can be consumed and used for other things easily without causing any type of unnecessary problems. On the other hand, the water resources available in some cities may cause the water to be hard and will result in at least one of two major issues.

Two of the more notable involves problems with a homeowner’s piping systems in their kitchens and other areas of the home, especially because the hard water causes calcium and magnesium to build up. Once this occurs, the homeowner may have to spend quite a bit of their monthly expense out of their own pockets in order to keep their pipes from clogging up instead of flowing freely. Another issue of concern that many homeowners should also look out for is hard water preventing the soap from lathering up properly due to the minerals that it contains.

In either event, it is essential to find a solution that will clean the water so that it will be fit to drink and use in the chores that people do around the home. With this being said, there is a product that people can buy online that can help an individual with solving these and similar problems. The name of this device is called the Watts RV PRO-1000 or the M7002 10000 Grains Portable Water Softener.

Specifications and Features

For those of you who are interested in the Watts RV PRO-1000, here’s a brief overview of its and features and specifications. In specific, this product was made by Watts Water technologies and has dimensions of 21. 9.5 x 9 inches. This device only weighs 9 pounds so it’s relatively easy for anyone to transport from one place to another, based on the actual need.

The Good

As with any kind of product, people can expect it to possess good and bad qualities that the consumer may or may not like. Traditionally, people will normally share what they like good about its features and then they will share the drawbacks that may cause numerous potential problems. With the Watts RV PRO-1000 (or the M7002 10000 Grains Portable Water Softener), the same statement is true. This is because consumers are posting what they like best and what needs to be changed.

This water softener worked well throughout the time we were using it for this review. It does what it is supposed to do – provide clean the water, it’s portable and it’s convenient enough to carry virtually anywhere. This product has a control feature attached that can help the person with choosing the quality and the softness of the water.

It is easy to install and well built. Because it is a small portable device, it is more affordable and can be used in a wide diversity of situations. Without a doubt, this product met our expectations from the moment it arrived at our doorstep.

The Bad

While this product works well, there is at least one drawback to making this purchase and that includes the timing in which the product continues to work. Unfortunately, a neighbor of ours who uses the same softener has experienced issues such as intermittent power after only using it for 2 months. This means, once it stops, they will have to charge the battery again so that it can be regenerated.

The Verdict

Overall, this product is definitely worth considering because it has features that have been designed to give the best quality water. With this device, the person does not have to worry about calcium from the water building up in their pipes. So, it is doing what it has been designed to do. One problem, however, is it can work intermittently instead of on a continual basis.
